Testing the Plugin’s Functionality

Initial Testing

After accessing the plugin settings, I started testing the “Coming Soon” mode. The interface is clear and easy to understand, which made the initial interaction simple.

I activated the “Coming Soon” mode, and the changes were applied almost instantly. My website displayed a “Coming Soon” page without requiring complex configuration.

Templates and Features

Within the “Coming Soon” mode, the plugin offers multiple templates. Two of them are clearly identifiable: Light and Dark mode.

The Dark template includes a countdown feature, which allows setting a timer for when the website will become available. The Light template includes a button that can redirect users to another page, such as a contact page. The text and link of this button can be customized.

Additionally, there are other templates available, but their appearance and specific features are not known since they are coming soon.

Usability and Behavior

One of the most positive aspects is how easy it is to enable or disable the “Coming Soon” mode. This can be done with a single click, and the changes take only a few seconds to apply.

A notification also appears in the WordPress admin bar indicating that the mode is active. This provides quick access to the plugin settings, improving usability.

Limitations Observed

While testing the Light template, I tried to link the button to my site’s contact page. However, since the entire site is under “Coming Soon” mode, the link redirects back to the same page, creating a loop.

This suggests that the plugin applies the mode globally to the entire site, and it is not clear how to exclude specific pages from this behavior.

Conclusion

The plugin provides useful features with a simple and responsive interface. However, some aspects, such as template clarity and page-level control, could be improved to enhance the user experience.

Further testing will be done in the next stage.
